Day 1: The Project

So this isn't going to just be a blog to blog: this is going to be a blog to show something. And what's it going to show? Well let me tell you.
I've known for a long time that I have some major confidence issues. Now that I'm in college, it's getting hard to move forward with them. I'm missing out on so many relationships and opportunities because of the lack of confidence I have. One night, I was laying in bed and I decided that things needed to change.
On Facebook one time, there was this video about a guy who painted his thumb nail red to remind himself not to be on his phone while he was driving. I thought it was a cool idea: a small, physical reminder to keep you going towards the one thing you want to change.
If you haven't figured it out yet, that's what Polished Confidence is going to be all about. This morning, I painted my left pointer finger with one of my many nail polishes as a reminder of the change I'm planning on making in my life. So I'm going to blog about my experience; about the changes I see being made in my life, the experiences I go through as I try to become someone new, and, hopefully somewhere in the near future, the confident life I've started to live.
I can't tell you how long I'll be blogging about this, but I will do it until I'm satisfied with where I'm at. Anyone who reads this journey with me, thank you. It means a lot to have people keeping me accountable.
Things are going to change.
Just not right away.
But one polished nail at a time.
